- Admissions: Jeannette Elliott
- The applications cycle for fall 2022 had an increase of 33% because of integration of the common application. This change is consider a huge success. All colleges saw increases. 90% of applicants used the Common Ap.
- Test optional policy – applicants can choose to submit standardized test scores. 58% did provide scores. Test optional for Illinois residents is now permanent for U of I. Each college can set requirements however. Non-residents and International students are not part of this ruling, but procedures are being reconsidered. The committee is looking at information to see how students in those categories are faring compared to Illinois residence to make sure the process if fair and equitable.
- Enrollment targets were decreased for 22-23. About 7, 800 freshman were admitted for fall. Fall tuition is increasing and may deter students. The committee also noted a lack of scholarships, which is a big concern.
